2022-Present: Student Co-Chair, Empowerment of Marginalized Communities at ACW-NA
The Empowerment of Marginalized Communities (Empowerment, for short) Subcommittee leads efforts to empower, support, and connect individuals who have been systemically pushed to the fringes in computing. It promotes computing in communities throughout North America that are underserved due to the detrimental effects of slavery, colonialization, and continued marginalization.
2022-2023: Technical Reviewer for Algorithmic Thinking, 2nd Edition by Daniel Zingaro
Contributed to the technical review and refinement of content for the second edition of the textbook. Collaborated closely with the author to ensure accuracy and clarity of complex algorithmic concepts. Provided critical feedback on chapter drafts, exercises, and coding examples to enhance educational value.
2021-2022: Director of Operations at UTM Computer Science Student Community
Responsible for managing promotions, and planning events related to student skills and mental health in the computer science student community at the University of Toronto Mississauga. During my work as the Director of Marketing, I led a team of six students, planning weekly posts and bi-weekly events to engage students in the community. I led workshops and talks on research, industry applications, and talking about burnout.
2020-21: DevOps Intern at Oracle. Here I worked on -
managing continuous deployment and integration builds with Teamcity
building tools that helped monitor POD health, build issues, and assisted in team planning using Angular, Ruby, Redis and Sensu
working with terraform and OCI to upgrade pre-production pods
monitoring POD health with tools including sensu, kibana, and grafana
